The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead role in designing new Paint equipment at Lucid. The ME will work closely with Contractors, logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineers, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the Paint process is properly designed and implemented.
You Will: Knowledge in Paint equipment such as Conveyance, Automation, dispensing systems, Mix systems, Air handling units, Heater boxes, ASRS, etc. Experience with greenfield & brownfield projects. Equipment commissioning & buyoff experience. SOW for projects building experience. Knowledge of NFPA 70, ANSI RIA R15, ANSI B11. Knowledge in paint system design for specific throughput capacity. (Buffers, takt time, etc.) Tutone process knowledge. Experience building business case for capex projects. Capable of reading Equipment Schematics, P&ID, Electrical drawings, construction layouts. Forge excellent cross functional relationships with engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing (Body-In-White & General Assembly). Coordinate launch activities and trials with both Product and Plant Engineering. Identify, trial and implement any new tools, equipment and processes that could improve quality and manpower efficiency.
You Bring: Bachelor's Degree in science or related field required. 5+ years in Paint Process Engineering. Experience in the automotive Paint equipment design/ sustaining is a must. Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments. Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
