It includes originating and providing corporate finance advice as a lead financial advisor on M&A transactions, providing valuations services on a range of transactional matters, due diligence advice to help our clients identify risks associated with deals and offer solutions that can help to mitigate such risks, act as an independent financial adviser on IPOs as well as on a range of other corporate transactions including, financial modelling, fundraising and debt advisory/restructuring.Within Financial Advisory, we have a strong valuation capability that supports both external, third-party clients as well as internal functions such as the external audit practice.As a Senior Manager some of your responsibilities will include:We are seeking a Senior Manager to help support our expanding Valuations team, by assisting the external audit teams with expert reviews of valuations for financial reporting purposes i.e. Purchase Price Allocations, Impairment Tests, Fair Value Reporting by private equity/venture capital funds. As a pivotal member of our firm, you will play a critical role in overseeing quality control, internal and external stakeholder management and ensuring that valuations within the scope of external audit review are robust and have been prepared on a reasonable basis.
Liaising with external audit teams on up coming engagements and understand the nature of valuations within their scope
Project managing the valuation review process
Coaching and supervising junior team members
Ensuring quality control of all internal or external deliverables provided
Working closely with partners & directors on business development

Strong in-depth technical and commercial knowledge of valuation concepts and direct involvement and experience of carrying out and managing valuation and financial modelling assignments
Responsible for leading and managing a high-achieving collaborative team, performing market analysis and researching transactions, industries and financial information
Ability to quickly grasp key business drivers and specific valuation issues in the context of the situation and have a commercial mindset
Prepare or participate in preparing and reviewing complex financial models, and provide clear and concise reporting and commentary on findings with high quality deliverables
Sharing experience and knowledge, and developing other team members through the valuation process
Understanding the processes involved in a valuation assignment including dealing with risk management processes and procedures
Ability to project manage effectively internally and externally to ensure effective communication with all relevant stakeholders
Plan for engagements including key issues, methodology and budget as well as the ability to work effectively in teams to tight deadlines where required
Help in client relationship management involving senior levels of management and shareholders
Development of internal and external networks; adopting a business development mindset; and maintaining and strengthening relationships with current and prospective clients of the firm
Real estate valuation experience would be beneficial but not essential
8+ years relevant experience of performing valuation work with suitable professional qualifications e.g an accounting or valuation qualification (CA/CPA/ACA/CMA/ACCA), CFA, MBA, CBV, ASA etc.
Strong current knowledge of valuations and financial modelling, including of PPAs, impairment testing, complex valuations/option pricing (i.e. for IFRS 2 or ESOP purposes), Monte-Carlo experience would be beneficial . Broader transactional experience in M&A or due diligence would be useful but not essential
Demonstrates a proven thorough level of abilities and success, as both an individual contributor and team member identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings communicating a broad range of the firm's services; and, managing engagements, including preparing concise, accurate documents and maintaining project economics while maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues
Strong English communication skills (business writing and speaking) and Excel skills
Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
