You will manage complex validation tasks that safeguard the accuracy and reliability of our spacecraft systems while ensuring compliance with Space42xe2x80x99s predefined operational standards. You will review, test, and refine procedures to support the seamless integration of our systems into existing global operational frameworks, and meet the companyxe2x80x99s strategic objectives by delivering impactful technical contributions, fostering teamwork, and aligning your work with national and international space innovation priorities.Your position will commence 1st March 2025, and is anticipated to end 31st May 2026. Responsibilities:
Review and validate spacecraft flight operations procedures for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with predefined requirements.
Conduct advanced spacecraft systems analysis, modeling, and simulation to support the design, testing, and optimization of aerospace programs.
Collaborate with engineering and AI teams to integrate AI-based tools into the spacecraft design and operation process, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
Utilize data analytics to interpret and resolve technical anomalies during spacecraft development, testing, and deployment phases.
Conduct and oversee simulations or dry runs to ensure procedural feasibility under nominal and contingency scenarios.
Detect and document errors, ambiguities, or inefficiencies within operational procedures.
Modify and validate procedures using appropriate scripting languages as applicable.
Collaborate with internal teams (Space Segment Engineering, Satellite Operations) and external stakeholders to address procedural discrepancies.
Act as a subject-matter expert in spacecraft analysis during proposal development and client-facing discussions, directly impacting new business growth.
Prepare detailed validation reports, including identified issues, corrective actions, and overall procedure readiness assessments, in line with Space42 processes
Ensure validated procedures meet mission-critical standards and are aligned with operational safety protocols.
Comply with local and international aerospace standards, guidelines, and safety protocols, aligning with the overall quality objectives of the company.
Stay updated on emerging trends in spacecraft technology, AI-driven solutions, and industry best practices to ensure continuous innovation in deliverables.
Recommend improvements for procedure creation, process validation, and operational standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masterxe2x80x99s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in spacecraft engineering, satellite technology, or aerospace systems analysis.
Familiarity with Airbus Eurostar 3000.
Proficiency or experience with spacecraft operation scripting languages like PIL or ARES
Strong (and demonstrated) familiarity with flight operations procedure (FOP) validation processes and familiarity with real time systems (Kratos EPOCH preferred).
English proficiency - Berlitz Level 9, IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 590 or equivalent.
Proficiency in spacecraft analysis tools such as MATLAB, STK (Systems Tool Kit), and engineering simulation software.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong attention to detail with outstanding problem-solving skills to identify and rectify procedural issues.
Excellent documentation and communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Strong understanding of AI integration within aerospace applications, including machine learning for spacecraft diagnostics or optimization.
Expertise in orbital mechanics, thermal system analysis, propulsion systems, or structural dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
