It envelops and implements systems and procedures for the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and control of credit risk, aligning with the bank's overall Risk framework and Risk Appetite policyIn this role, your key responsibilities include
To lead the implementation of credit policies and related credit procedures for retail asset products, reviewing and identifying areas that need update and adjustment to ensure alignment with the Banks risk appetite and regulatory requirements and to effectively manage the portfolio for optimum credit risk-return yield and growth.
Manage the development of new/updated procedures and oversee the implementation of credit policies for retail asset products by factoring market trends, business plans and risk appetite of the Bank in order to build a sustainable and profitable portfolio
Analyse used currentcredit and risk management tools, such as statistical scorecard for new business sourcing and stress testing of the portfolio, comparing against departmental feedback and best industry practice
Review reported risk indicators, monitor the portfolio performance, identifying and reporting on appropriate policy measures that mitigate the loss during risk events and at the same time leverage the business opportunities during favourable times in order to maintain an optimum risk-return balance in retail asset portfolio on an ongoing basis
Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
SkillsThe ideal candidate should have the following experience:
At least 7 years of credit risk management experience in a financial institution, with 2 years in a team management role
Bachelors Degree in Finance or similar field
Sound knowledge of Banking and asset products
Knowledge of credit and risk management tools
Analytical and logical reasoning skills
Good negotiation skills Intermediate MS Office - Word, Excel and PPT skills
Must have Policy Process, Underwriting and collections experience.
Experience with digital processes- Digitization/Digital Journey
