For more information, please email: or visit:PurposeThis role will be responsible for ensuring the existence and operations of strong governance across IT including:
The development and management of IT/technology policies (in line with best practices and with consideration for IHS\xe2\x80\x99s business context)
IT performance management \xe2\x80\x93 establish independent performance metrics for IT. Report on performance metrics and potential improvement areas to relevant stakeholders
Support with strategy and operational model development, as well as establishing IT ways-of-working.
Provide oversight over key IT processes \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring clarity of objectives, roles, activities, and deliverables
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesEnforce Governance and Standards
Oversees the development, maintenance and compliance of relevant IT standards, policies, procedures, and artefacts
Develops and implements an overall IT Governance framework in alignment with leading practice frameworks including COBIT 2019, ITIL, ISO 20000, ISO 9001, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001.
Defines, coordinates, maintains and communicates IT governance performance metrics and key risk indicators to IT Management and Enterprise Risk Management, as required.
Develops (and periodically reviews) IT policies, plans and procedures in line with recommended practice (and regulatory requirements) and supporting organizational structures (through awareness and sensitization) to ensure an acceptable level of assurance.
Stays up-to-date with regulations and compliance guidelines affecting information technology and, and continuously update the Company\xe2\x80\x99s policies, standards and procedures.
Designs, develops, and documents IT processes (in collaboration with process owners) in line with best practice frameworks and alignment with IHS\xe2\x80\x99s business context/operations.
Business-IT Alignment
Support in the creation, maintenance and monitoring the IT strategy including the IT roadmap, with input from IT leadership, to deliver on the Group\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
Periodically assess the effectiveness of existing IT governance framework. Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to further strengthen the IT governance framework.
IT Project Risks Management
Oversee project and risk related activities to provide agile and responsive reporting and insights and best practice to support the business in making informed decisions in the delivery of IT services.
Coordination of Governance Body Activities
Coordinating the activities and deliverable of governance committee
Business Reporting
Prepare reports and dashboards (comprehensive IT reports including KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, project portfolio etc.) for various Management Committees with a focus on accuracy, consistency and clarity.

QualificationsJob-Specific Competencies
Proven experience implementing best practice IT frameworks (COBIT, ISO, ITIL) in organizations
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT governance or risk roles
Experience working across cultures and time zones
Strong understanding of business process improvement methodologies (e.g., CMMI, Six Sigma, BPM, Agile).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications & Experience Required
A degree in information technology or related fields
Relevant certifications \xe2\x80\x93 CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, ITIL, ISO 9000, ISO 27001 etc.
Thorough understanding of the latest IT-GRC principles, techniques and protocols.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge
Best practice standards/frameworks (including COBIT, relevant ISO standards and ITIL) and how to pragmatically apply them within the IHS context
Key governance and IT process principles \xe2\x80\x93 and persuading result-oriented team to adopt them
IT Infrastructure and Applications: A solid understanding of hardware, software, networks, operating systems, and different types of applications (cloud-based, on-premise, etc.).
Technology Trends: Staying abreast of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, APIs, data analytics \xe2\x80\x93 and the relevant governance and risk implications of these technologies.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively communicating with both superiors and subordinates.
