DESCRIPTIONThis is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end IES Mass Vendor Relations (MVR) program across six emerging international markets - Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa, and Turkey. The key focus is to build and lead a high-performing team to onboard, launch, and scale brand owners and products that are most relevant to customers in these markets.Key job responsibilities
Hire, develop, and lead a multi-functional team of high performing country leads, vendor managers, account managers, program managers, and business intelligence to deliver on MVR\'s vision across the six emerging stores. This includes hiring, coaching and developing managers and individual contributors
Set the strategy to drive sustainable process improvements across teams and functions to create long-term efficiency in MVR, while effectively escalating issues across all levels in the retail organization
Collaborate with other leaders (Country/Retail leaders, Selection, Pricing, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance) in these six stores and across other Amazon stores to continually innovate on behalf of our vendors and customers
Be the voice of small and medium suppliers, when interacting with country/retail leadership across the six stores
Ensure accountability for all important metrics such as increased selection, growth and profitability, availability, etc. across the selection funnel, while continuing to optimize the cost to serve the retail business
Drive think big & invent and simplify solutions to improve vendor experience and providing selection that is relevant to customers, while being accretive to local retail on profitability
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or any related field.
Proven commercial experience and acumen, with track record of delivering results
5-10+ years of experience in a core area of business which could include general business management, category management, supply chain management, or something similar
Professional experience in either e-commerce, retail or tech companies within demanding corporate environments
Experience leading multi-functional teams and developing people managers, in a fast-paced and data-driven environment
Demonstrated success leading a team that prioritizes a culture that is inclusive, supportive, and focused on employee development and growth
Ability to both lead through a team as well as roll up sleeves and directly own work that delivers results
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to influence people both internally and externally
Strong and successful communication skills which include the ability to write compelling, concise documents, and present to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or Master\'s in Finance, Engineering or related fields
