JOB TITLESenior Manager - Finance | MAF Retail | UAE Corporate Head OfficeROLE SUMMARYThe Senior Manager Finance for the Retail Discount business line plays a critical role in shaping the financial performance and strategic direction of the business. This role involves working closely with senior leadership within the Retail Discount line to provide financial insights, strategic guidance, and support for business decisions. The Senior Manager will partner with cross-functional teams (including sales, marketing, and operations) to ensure financial goals are met, key initiatives are supported, and performance is optimized across the business.ROLE PROFILE
Partner with the leadership team of the Retail Discount business to drive financial strategy and provide actionable financial insights.
Develop and manage key financial metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational performance.
Support decision-making through financial analysis of business opportunities, including new product offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, offering sound financial guidance to shape the long-term success of the business.
Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may impact financial reporting and analysis.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the Retail Discount business line.
Provide timely and accurate financial performance reports, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Analyze business performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and financial health.
Develop detailed financial models to support business initiatives, new product launches, pricing decisions, and cost-saving measures.
Collaborate with the Care office FP&A team under finance.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting financial results to key stakeholders.
Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators (KPIs) across the Retail Discount business to ensure operational and financial targets are met.
Present complex financial data in a clear and understandable way to non-financial stakeholders, facilitating better business decision-making.
Drive cost efficiency initiatives within the Retail Discount business by evaluating cost structures, optimizing resource allocation, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain) to implement and track cost management strategies.
Provide regular updates on cost performance, including the impact of key business decisions and market conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 7+ years of finance experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a finance business partnering or similar role within a retail or consumer-facing environment, preferably in a discount or value-driven business.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear insights.
