The Role
Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a Senior Manager Facilities and Ground Support Equipment for a an exciting MRO client at DWC. The role will be full time based at Al Maktoum Airport looking after their new state of the art facilility and GSE. Job Purpose: The GSE and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and repair of all ground support equipment (GSE) and facility infrastructure. This role will ensure the availability, reliability, and safety of GSE and facilities to support efficient aircraft maintenance operations. Key Responsibilities: GSE Management: o Fleet Management: Manage the GSE fleet, including inventory control, maintenance scheduling, and replacement planning. o Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of GSE to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. o Vendor Management: Manage relationships with GSE vendors and suppliers. o Cost Control: Monitor and control GSE-related costs, including maintenance, fuel, and spare parts. Facilities Management: o Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, including buildings, hangars, and workshops. o Facility Upgrades: Manage facility improvement projects, such as renovations and expansions. o Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations, including fire safety, electrical safety, and access control. o Environmental Compliance: Implement and maintain environmental management systems to minimize the environmental impact of operations. Team Leadership: o Team Management: Lead and manage a team of GSE technicians and facility maintenance personnel. o Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and train skilled personnel. o Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback. Specific Responsibilities: o Develop and implement a comprehensive GSE maintenance plan. o Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance tasks. o Respond to GSE breakdowns and implement corrective actions. o Manage GSE inventory and procurement. o Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. o Develop and implement facility maintenance plans. o Manage facility upgrades and renovations. o Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures. o Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. o Collaborate with other departments to optimize GSE and facility utilization.
