Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities : You will provide and coordinate technical and engineering input into the identification, due diligence, development, and delivery of utility scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hybrid) in feasibility stage, development stage, and tender/bid stage. These technical and engineering inputs will include technology selection, balance of plant design, grid connection works, development of technical documentation to support procurement activities, and overview of installation, construction, commissioning, testing of works, warranty and operational support of existing and new projects.
You will be part of the Engineering and Technical Support Group (ETSG) for the Renewables Global Business Unit (RGBU) within the North Africa and will report to the Head of Engineering and Technical Support Group Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
You manage and coordinate engineering work packages with respect to choice of technologies, technical configurations and for setting relevant performance, statutory, safety and quality requirements. In charge of all aspects and documentation of the contractual negotiations during Business Development of all O&M and/or Technical-related agreements: EPC, EPCM, PPA, OE, LTSA, etc. Work closely with the procurement and construction team in line with the procurement strategies and construction strategies. Be responsible for drafting/contributing to and negotiating owner specifications, including the incorporation of the latest group experience and standards. Prepare Capex and O&M budgets integrating feedback from Group assets and Group specialists. Prepare all O&M technical related documents for the bid (OM organization chart, O&M references, O&M Philosophy, etc.). Contribution to interface with Lender's Engineer and support Lenders' due diligence. Management of internal approval process (O&M and Technical). Support of CEO and Construction Managers of Project Companies or CEO and Plant Managers of O&M Companies, for punctual problems during construction, commissioning phase and during operations. Perform technology watch and share knowledge within the ETSG team
Experience Mt Minimum of 10 years of experience in the power generation sector with specific knowledge, expertise and experience in developing or constructing solar PV or wind projects including the ability to:
evaluate and perform feasibility studies conduct technology configurations determine construction strategies and operating philosophies evaluate yield assessments and conceptual designs perform techno-economic cost analyses for the full lifecycle of a project draft, review and negotiate commercial and contractual agreements manage and advise transversally on all technical aspects of a project from cradle to grave
Education Degree in an engineering discipline, bachelors or masters
Experience and Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management or technical coordination function on solar; PV or wind development or construction projects. Formal training in project management is desirable; Knowledge in other renewable technologies such as BESS or hydrogen would be advantageous. Knowledge in procurement (e.g. FIDIC) and handling multidisciplinary projects are considered strong assets; A basic understanding of HV/MV/LV electrical systems, including international practices on grid connection for centralized energy projects, as well as electrical system integration & optimization for industrial customers.

Location/travel Place of residence: Casablanca, Morocco. Episodic travels inside and outside the MENA region. Contract: full time, permanent.
