It sets the direction for the company across businesses and markets, and works closely with C-Suite and leadership to drive focus and decision-making on the most important priorities for the company.The company\'s Strategy and Chief-of-Staff team is looking for a self-driven, high-energy, and detail-oriented problem solver who will report into them and work closely with company leadership on these objectives.The Strategy and CEO office team at Careem has been set up to achieve the following goals
Define and refresh our corporate strategy
Identify how different verticals and our strategic partners, Uber and e&, can come together to strengthen our Everything App value prop and offering, and realize synergies
Define our regional strategy and sequencing across markets
Define and regularly update company goals and OKRs to help ensure execution and focus
Drive special projects critical to the company\'s success across businesses, functions and markets
Manage our leadership circles to drive focus, decision-making and action against Careem\'s most important priorities
About the roleThe Strategy Senior Manager will have the following responsibilities
Strategy development:
Apply critical thinking, analytics, market/competitor deep dives, and relevant frameworks to solve hard strategic problems
Run the corporate strategy and goal-setting process and calendar
Develop, track and regularly update company and department goals and OKRs based on the corporate strategy
Special projects:
Quickly understand unfamiliar areas and problem-statements across business and functions
Lead work streams and projects independently in cross-functional settings
Apply relevant analyses and frameworks to make recommendations
Managing leadership circles:
Set the agenda for leadership-circle meetings based on company priorities
Continuously iterate on content, format and processes to ensure leadership is enabled to make decisions and drive implementation
Support in preparing for these forums (preparing content, managing stakeholders, etc.)
What you\'ll need
Self-driven, high energy and acts like an owner; recommends the next action needed without waiting for direction; operates with limited need for oversight
Start-up mindset with a strong bias for action
Top-tier educational background and 3-5 years of professional experience in strategy or program management roles within a leading management consulting firm or high-growth tech start-up
Excellent problem solving skills including structuring problems, performing detailed analysis, and developing recommendations
Project management skills with high degree of detail-orientation, organization, and ability to work cross-functionally
Unphased by tight timelines and multitasking
Passionately curious about the business and the market
