Closing Date: Aug 6th 2024 MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To oversee and manage all scheduled and unscheduled Base Maintenance activities, to ensure Turnaround Time (TAT) deadlines are met and ensuring airworthiness, safety, and on-time performance of the flydubai fleet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Oversees and manages the completion and certification of all base scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
+ Oversees and manages the development of procedures and standards required to carry out Base Maintenance.
+ Ensures that the outsourced services and manpower providers deliver a service level in accordance with the terms of their respective General Terms Agreement (GTA).
+ Takes responsibility for overall management and provision of all resources necessary to perform the planned base maintenance tasks.
+ Manages relationships and communications with Base Maintenance manpower and services providers.
+ Manages and develops the Base Maintenance management and Senior Certifying Engineers in the execution of their duties.
+ Manages and supports internal and external audits and the satisfactory conclusion of any non-conformances in their area.
+ Oversees and manages the promotion of an effective safety culture and all safety related activities within Base Maintenance.
+ Collaborates with the Safety department and any other members of the flydubai management team in the investigation of safety related incidents or accidents.
+ Ensures compliance with company safety standards, prioritizing them over commercial or operational requirements.
+ Manages and develops the annual Base Maintenance budget, ensuring adequate resources and manpower are provisioned and sourced in support of the Base Maintenance plan.
+ Ensures timely reporting of safety related incidents or failures of the safety system to the Safety Department and management, using formal, informal, or confidential channels as appropriate.
+ Manages of any project assigned by leadership of the Engineering & Maintenance department.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum Education Level
+ Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
Licenses (if applicable)
+ Current CAR 66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (or ICAO TYPE II equivalent) with ratings on the Boeing 737NG with CFM56-7B engine, and/or MAX-8 with LEAP1-B engine.
Languages
+ Fluent in English

Professional Experience
+ Minimum 10 years working in an aircraft maintenance environment, 5 years of which as an ICAO Type II License holder and 2 years in a relevant management position.
Systems Knowledge (if applicable)
+ Knowledge of AMOS is desirable but not essential.

ISR REQUIREMENTS
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
