Job PurposeResponsible for managing and monitoring of inventory levels, requisitioning materials and equipment, determining material specifications, preventive maintenance material forecasting, item code creation, coordinating with internal departments, managing external stakeholder relations.Job Accountabilities
Raises Material Requisitions (MR) and/or Purchase Requisitions (PR) for all material requirements related to the execution of work. Ensures all required materials are made available to the maintenance teams as soon as reasonably possible.
Provides assistance to relevant stakeholders on special projects by gathering data, researching information and generating reports/drawings as needed.
Calculate and maintain the forecasted materials needed in planned PM and the inventory parameters such as safety stock, re-order level (ROL), economic order quantity (EOQ), min/max levels, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
Perform inventory sanity checks, analyse short and obsolete or aging inventory, and take appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with stores team, workshop, and maintenance planning team.
Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
Managing inventory / material delivery issues, and cancellations.
Preparing cost estimates, performance, and process control reports.
Qualification:
Degree or Diploma from a recognised institution in any of the below engineering disciplines:
Automotive
Electrical
Electronics
Mechanical
Hydraulics
Diesel engine
Experience:Degree Holders with 4 to 6 years of experience or Diploma holder with 6 to 8 years of experience in the field of material planning and inventory management in below industries:
GSE and Cargo Workshops in other airports
Baggage Handling in Airports
Automobile Workshop; (Cars, pickups, vans, small buses)
Heavy Equipment (earth moving, trucks, buses, construction, waste management, heavy material handling)
Process & Manufacturing Industries (refineries, aluminium processing, food processing, automated material handling, paper & plastic products are few examples)
Transportation industry (rail, metro etc)
At least 2 to 3 years of total experience should be in the field of material planning with responsibilities that includes managing and monitoring of inventory levels, requisitioning materials and equipment, determining material specifications, preventive maintenance material forecasting, item code creation, coordinating with internal departments, managing external stakeholder relations, and using computerised maintenance management systems like Maximo or similar.Knowledge and Skills:
Training on material planning and inventory management from recognised service providers.
UAE Driving Licence preferred in order to gain Airside Driving Permit.
Proficient understanding of maintenance practices
English Language Skills - Level 4

Proficient Safety Awareness Skills
IT and Computer Literacy specifically Microsoft Office applications
