Legal Expertise in Defense and Contract Law: In-depth knowledge of legal principles related to defense contracts and/or sophisticated technology contracts, government procurement, and international trade laws. Familiarity with offset agreements is crucial.
Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate terms and conditions with defense contractors and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and beneficial terms.
Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze contract requirements, legal risks, and the implications of new technology developments within the context of offset agreements.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey legal advice and information across various stakeholders including government officials, contractors, and legal teams.

Provide legal guidance and support for the fulfillment of contractual obligations with defense contractors, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements related to technology development and transfer, in alignment with strategic objectives.
Monitor and manage contractual obligations, deliverables, and timelines to ensure that all parties meet their commitments.
Advise on legal risks and business terms of various deals and transactions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate and streamline the offset agreement processes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws that affect the defense sector and offset agreements.
Prepare and manage documentation and reports on contract status, compliance, and other legal matters about the offset program.
