We strive to support the Business strategy by the prompt delivery of pragmatic, adaptable and solutions based legal advice to all levels within the business in GCC/EMEA. The role will cover all legal issues arising in a fast moving, innovative professional services business.The individual will be a member of FTI Consultings EMEA legal, risk and compliance team, albeit shall be based in DIFC, Dubai and have a primary focus of assisting with matters related to GCC (currently operations entities in onshore UAE, DIFC, ADGM, KSA, Qatar and potentially additional new jurisdictions in the near future). The individual will ultimately report to the EMEA General Counsel (based in London) but with local management and oversight from the GCC Assistant General Counsel (based in DIFC, Dubai).Responsibilities:Contracts and Advice:
Draft, review and negotiate Engagement Letters, Master Framework Agreement, Subcontract Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements and NDAs with clients and other ad hoc third party vendor agreements
Draft and review data processing agreements
Coordinate and prepare legal response to requests for proposals (RFP)
Conducting legal research
Provide instructions to and liaise with external legal advisors
Provide succinct and clear memos/summaries of legal research/external advice to assist with decision making by internal legal team members or internal business units
Employment and Data Protection:
Work with and advise the GCC HR team on HR related matters, including assistance with drafting and negotiating employment agreements, termination letters, secondment and transfer agreements, local HR policies
Monitoring updates and working with local counsel to monitor updates to applicable GCC data protection laws and practices to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices implemented across all operational entities in GCC
Knowledge and experience in field of drafting, reviewing, negotiating data protection related documentation preferential.
Corporate secretarial:
Assistance with managing global legal risk of the Group by working as part of the EMEA legal team and putting in place and/or keeping up-to-date appropriate policies and practices and monitoring compliance of such policies and practices across all offices and business lines
Monitoring updates and compliance across all group members with applicable laws and relevant updates
Managing and monitoring corporate governance processes and practices, including knowledge of managing constitutional documents, preparing resolutions and minutes, powers of attorney, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
Will also be expected to be involved with evolving regulatory compliance requirements for all regulated/quasi-regulated entities in the Group providing corporate finance advisory services and equivalent in and across GCC.
General:
Legal support to internal departments, including HR, Finance and Tax.
Overall assistance with FTI groups legal, risk and compliance function and related documentation and administration: general contractual matters contracts, litigation, employment issues, new office openings, vendor registration requirements and related admin processes etc.
Although focus of work will be to the Middle East part of the business, support may also be required to be provided in respect of the Groups operations and business lines across all of EMEA and the individual shall work alongside the broader EMEA legal team based in London on EMEA wide matters.
Assist with overseeing, mentoring and coaching the regional Junior Legal Counsel.

Basic Qualifications:
Qualified solicitor with several years experience at a leading law firm and in-house team.
Previous experience in the Middle East market
