JOB PURPOSEAssist Head of LS&D in the origination, structuring and execution of syndicated loans to support the targeted business growth as per assigned budget. In addition, to support the growth of the secondary loans (buy and sell) business.REPORTS TOHead - Loan Syndicate & DistributionACCOUNTABILITIESInstitutional Relationship Management: In coordination with his manager, maintain contact with key banks and other sources of market intelligence to secure transaction referrals and support targeted business growthTransaction Origination & Structuring: Assist with the origination, underwriting and structuring of profitable Syndicated Loan transactions in order to achieve successful financial close.Create pitchbooks, undertake pricing comparables and coordinate with relationship managers to jointly pitch and win mandatesSyndication & Distribution: Assist and lead (as required) the syndication process for syndicated loans - distribution strategy, distribution mandates, bookrunning and successful execution of distribution. Prepare syndication / selldown and under-writing opinions for loans. Create and maintain relationships with loan syndication desks of local / international banks and other syndicated loan investors.Secondary Markets: Establish and maintain relationships with secondary loan desks of local / international banks and loan brokers. Closely monitor secondary market for any buying / selling opportunities. Regularly update RMs with opportunities. Execute secondary trades (prepare and execute secondary loans documentation; liaise with ADCB Operations teams to ensure settlement occurs in a timely manner).Transaction Management & Execution: Draft, review and negotiate term sheets, mandate letters, invitation letters, information memorandum and other documents relating to syndicated loan transactions to ensure effective execution of dealsPolicies, Processes, Systems & Procedures: Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholdersSelf-Management: Manage self, in line with the banks people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performanceCustomer Service: Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the banks required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactionsSkillsEXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESExperienceMinimum 7 years experience in an International Banking environmentQualificationBachelors Degree in finance, business, economics or accountingProfessional QualificationsTechnical CompetenciesSyndication/DistributionLoan StructuringGCC Loan Markets
