Review monthly financial reports for consolidated operations from the External Portfolios Evaluation and Monitoring Department and reconcile with trial balances from the accounting system, including relevant entries.
Review entries related to capital contributions, capital asset recoveries, bank transfers, investment profits/losses, and foreign currency differences, and reconcile them with incoming reports.
Review fair value adjustment entries for investment asset balances according to reports from the Investment Assets Department and reconcile with subsidiary investment balances.
Review investment closing entries for interim and annual financial statements.
Review management fees statements for external portfolios and worksheets for calculating due returns.
Review and reconcile the statement of asset balances - investment income, cash, and cash equivalents with subsidiary balances when preparing interim and annual financial statements.
Review balance confirmation letters (external portfolios, investment funds, private sector contributions, banks) and reconcile them with balances and accounting records.
Review investment analysis schedules - charts - and comment on investment financial conditions, reconciling them with subsidiary trial balances when preparing interim/annual reports.
Prepare financial statements related to investment items in interim and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with finance department policies and procedures.
Participate in preparing and reviewing interim/annual financial statements and administrative budgets for the SMEs fund.
Perform specific tasks assigned by supervisors and management within the scope of duties.
Participate in developing accounting solutions for investment operations for the new 686 - ATA 5la5 software system.
Participate in preparing and monitoring tax return drafts and tax requirements for investments.
Train Investment Accounts Team members on required tasks in various aspects, helping them develop their skills by transferring knowledge and responsibilities.
Assist the Head of the Investment Accounts Unit in performing duties and responsibilities to enhance experience in the field.
Help resolve issues at minimal cost while ensuring smooth workflow.
Contribute to the development and updating of systems, policies, and procedures for the Investment Accounts Unit and other units.
Train to perform the Unit Head's duties to be eligible to replace them in their absence or when occupied with other tasks as required by management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred certifications such as CPA or equivalent.
15 years of relevant experience, preferably with the last 5 years in senior accounting roles.
Relevant experience in investment accounting with financial institutions.
Ability to develop financial policies, systems, and procedures.
Ability to work with a team.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of best practices and trends.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Arabic and English.
Ability to motivate the team, flexibility, and attention to detail.
Proficient in SAP.
