Company: MarshDescription:Insurance Placement Managers are responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of our clients through the negotiation of conditions and partnerships with Insurance companies. Placement managers "deliver the firm" by aligning client strategies and needs to MMC's capabilities and resources. This includes managing and developing insurance companies relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying the mix of MMC products and services the client holds.- Maintains and grows personal relationships and a of business and contribute to personal or team sales targets while overseeing the portfolio of accounts, including those held by junior professionals.- Coaches on the account management and expansion process and intervenes when necessary to offer guidance and prevent relationship losses for at-risk team accounts.- Conducts and analyzes research to maintain a comprehensive understanding of personal accounts and coinciding business needs as well as core team accounts to maintain a comfortable handle on the portfolio at large.- Leads or attends presentations or sales meetings for priority or at-risk team accounts when necessary to develop team capabilities and maintain the team portfolio.- Identifies expansion opportunities for personal and team accounts leveraging an advanced understanding of internal service and product offerings, market trends and developments and the business standing of specific accounts.- Defines the strategy for custom solution development for the team portfolio for the designated mid-market or small geography, communicating product and solution sales targets, compensation and pricing expectations.- Serves as a coach for a team; works to contribute to a team portfolio and assists sales professionals with professional development and critical account initiatives.- Attends and participates in industry events and conferences and client functions to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company and its product offerings and solutions.ROLE SPECIFIC- Responsible for the successful delivery of insurance requirements for financed and non-financed construction projects across the MEA region - focussing on Renewable Energy and Power projects but also projects across other sectors as they are awarded- Review, draft and negotiate the insurance requirements of project agreements including but not limited to loan agreements, EPC, O&M, offtake etc. and advise clients on appropriate levels of coverage based on its availability from the market at commercially reasonable terms and in line with other stakeholder requirements- Proactive engagement with various project stakeholders including client, lenders, contractor(s), and their advisory teams (technical, legal etc)- Create (re)insurance placement strategies with Placement Leader, in line with project obligations in line with client and stakeholder requirements, execute placement strategy and liaise with markets to answer any relevant queries.- Assist in the arrangement and participate in thought leadership events- Cross-selling and coordination with the Marsh regional and global network as required- Active business revenue forecasting with Practice Leader- New business development including presenting to prospects and pipeline management. Responding to new business tenders (RFPs)- Ongoing servicing of project insurances including policy extensions, variation orders and handover to operational phase insurances- Possible management of a small team. Duties will include mentor & develop junior and new staff members- At all times ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements across MENARequirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry
Client management, placement experience is a must
Technical construction insurance experience, and PPP projects knowledge are required
