Responsibilities:Functional:

• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient IT infrastructure solutions tailored to support high-profile digital transformation initiatives at global enterprise and public sector levels.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide infrastructure solutions that meet current and future business needs.
• Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure blueprints, and high-level & low-level design documentation.
• Define and enforce standards, frameworks, and policies for infrastructure design and management.
• Collaborate closely with the Azure Cloud Architect and other stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies with business and operational goals.
• Act as the technical authority for integrating and managing tools and technologies, including ZNTA, Intune, and ManageEngine.
• Lead efforts to modernize infrastructure by incorporating automation and best practices.
• Architect hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises environments with Azure services like Azure AD, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Deploy and manage Windows Virtual Desktop (Cloud PC) and Azure Virtual Desktop environments for diverse business needs.
• Optimize Azure resources for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and native security solutions.
• Lead the implementation of disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies using Azure Site Recovery and Backup.
• Architect solutions around Office 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune, ensuring seamless integration and security.
• Define governance for Office 365 and collaboration tools to meet compliance and operational requirements.
• Implement and optimize Intune for application deployment, endpoint management, and security policies.
• Develop and oversee best practices for application and server patching methodologies using tools like Patch My PC and ManageEngine.
• Ensure patching processes comply with security standards and minimize downtime.
• Design and manage ZNTA (Zscaler, ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) solutions to enhance secure network and application access.
• Collaborate with network teams to integrate ZNTA technologies into the wider infrastructure.
• Implement and govern robust cybersecurity measures, including Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, Conditional Access, Password Policies, and AD Connect.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to embed security into the infrastructure architecture, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO27001 and GDPR.
• Oversee server patching and hardening methodologies to maintain optimal security and performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners to stay ahead of emerging trends and implement best-fit tools for infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and maintain CMDB and IT service management processes using ManageEngine tools.
• Lead capacity planning and performance monitoring initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Networking, and Application teams, to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Translate business objectives into technical solutions and effectively communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders.

Skills and attributes for success

• Advanced knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure modernization, including network security, storage solutions, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments.
• A strong understanding of application and server patching methodologies and cybersecurity integration.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to align technical initiatives with client and business needs.
• Proficiency in project and program management, with experience in leading complex infrastructure projects in dynamic, global environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications including Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), and ITIL Foundation.
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a senior architectural role focusing on enterprise-scale solutions.
• Advanced expertise in Azure, Azure AD, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Virtual Desktop (Cloud PC), and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Deep understanding of Office 365, including Intune, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
• Expertise in ZNTA (Zscaler, ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), Conditional Access, MFA, and network architecture best practices.
• Strong experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and clustering.
• Proven ability to implement and manage application and server patching methodologies, ensuring security and operational efficiency.
• Automation and IaC: Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.
