Senior FLS Design Engineer

We are seeking a

Senior Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Design Engineer

with strong consultancy experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems while ensuring compliance with

NFPA codes

and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design

fire protection, suppression, alarm, and evacuation systems

for buildings and infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with

NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and international standards

. Prepare and review

FLS design drawings, reports, and technical specifications

. Conduct

fire risk assessments and performance-based designs

. Collaborate with

architects, MEP engineers, and authorities (Civil Defense, Municipalities, etc.)

for approvals. Lead and mentor junior engineers in FLS design and implementation. Support

tendering, BOQ preparation, and value engineering

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

in Fire Protection, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
?

8+ years

of FLS design experience in a consultancy environment within the UAE.
?

Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, UAE Fire Code, and international fire safety standards

.
?

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite, HASS, PipeNet, or similar)

.
?

Experience coordinating with authorities (e.g., Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, Dubai Civil Defense)

.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Preferred:

CFPS, NFPA, or other fire safety certifications

Previous approvals from Civil Defense in UAE
