Summary: The Senior Finance Controller (Ecommerce) is a key partner to the Senior Director of Ecommerce and SVP Marketing who oversee online operations, providing a comprehensive and accurate vision of the performance of the function and company to help drive efficiencies and sustainability across the business unit. The role is key to protecting the financial health of the business, identifying the opportunities to re-invest and cost control marketing spend, headcount and logistic costs. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Ecomm finance needs, providing data-driven recommendations, creating a long-term strategy for Huda Beautys ecommerce financial stability based on financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
Build business models and forecasting tools that allow for long-term planning, and real-time decision making, that maximize Huda Beautys ecommerce impact, revenue and profit. Actively seeking new opportunities for costs saving to improve profitability.
Prepare full business unit budget on a tri-annual basis. Monitor, analyze and present actual results to stakeholders on a monthly basis.
Closely monitor the levels of discounts and promotions and the impact of seasonality to ensure a strong gross margin.
Partner closely with logistics team to forecast, monitor and analyze our logistics budget, advising on efficiencies across 3PL fulfillment and global physical distribution costs.
Track and reconcile global tariffs & duties for cross-border sales.
Collaborate closely with the planning team to take the lead on capturing, reporting, and monitoring monthly retail and wholesale sales plans, including forecasts and actual results, across various channels and geographical regions. These insights will feed into both regional and international reporting mechanisms.
Communicate daily/weekly/monthly sales figures with management, highlighting trends across different regions, brands and products.
Partner with the marketing team to understand product launches and promotional periods which will impact seasonality of sales. Support with financial analysis of marketing campaigns, making suggestion on which will aid a healthy profitability.
Work closely with our Senior Director of Ecommerce for all external negotiations with retailers/vendors to protect business interests and represent the brand.
Track the inventory value and the obsolescence risk, ensure that excess and obsolete remains in budget.
Partner with the data analytics team to build dashboards for stakeholders showing trends at a brand/regional/product level and leverage data to understand consumer behaviour.
Using data from the dashboards, work with planning team to project forecasts and campaign performance.
Calculate provisions for month end close process, ensuring accurate and timely submission to HQ.
Requirements:
6+ years in financial management (preferably with beauty and/or luxury experience).
B2C expertise, including understanding of the B2C model and cross-border selling practices.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Strong confidence to challenge the different teams across the business unit.
