Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in the financial and banking industries. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles, experience in financial analysis, and a deep understanding of banking operations. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and IFRS.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during audits.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting the financial and banking sectors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the financial or banking industries.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across departments.

• IFRS: 5 years (Required)
• Forecasting & Budgeting: 5 years (Required)

Language:

• Hindi, Arabic (Required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
