Responsibilities:Wood is currently looking for a Senior Expeditor to be based in Dubai, a secondment role to one of our operating clients.
Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and review the more difficult and complex aspects of the expediting workload
Responsible for the Desk and Field Expediting of all Project Purchase Orders through to FCA readiness.
Updating system with the Expediting Status of Purchase Orders
Obtain quotations for field expediting plans and CV's of 3rd party expediting providers
Expediting the engineering team for timely document approvals.
Notifying Supply Chain Focal Points of any potential Schedule Slippages
Setting Expediting follow up dates in the relevant system
Checking Field Expediting Manufacturing Schedules
Liaison with Field Expediting Suppliers to co-ordinate Expediting visits
Receiving Field Expediting Progress Reports and updating the relevant systems
Issuing Expediting Reports as required by the project.
Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices
Demonstrate commitment to Woods vision, values and behaviours
Qualifications:
Degree qualification.
Minimum of 15 years expediting experience in the oil and gas industry.
Detailed knowledge of Materials and Document Expediting Practices.
Strong team player.
Excellent communication skills.
The individual should have previous experience in a similar level role
Previous use of ERP's such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP
Broad knowledge of Suppliers in the Middle East region and ideally in the UAE and Iraq
