Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity for business operations.
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for fund management.
Handle direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, VAT, or other applicable taxes.
Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and compliance with local laws and regulations.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement best practices.
Leverage technology and automation to optimize financial workflows.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing queries.
Implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
Reconcile payment gateways, manage refunds, and handle disputes related to online transactions.
Collaborate with the business and operations teams to ensure smooth financial processes in line with e-commerce activities.
Work closely with business units, vendors, and customers to address financial matters.
Support senior management with financial insights for strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA/CPA/CMA qualification is a plus.
3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Advanced MS Excel skills, including financial modeling.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and payment gateway reconciliation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
Knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem, including marketplace dynamics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
