Job Summary:
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for joinery projects, analyzing project specifications, and coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in joinery estimation, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Detailed Estimates: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for joinery projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Tender Management: Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate bids.
• Supplier/Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure project budgets are met.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and include contingency plans in the estimation process.
• Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and suggest cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all estimates, budgets, and communications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and designers to align estimates with project objectives.
• Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and new joinery techniques.
• Post-Project Analysis: Conduct reviews of completed projects to refine estimation accuracy for future bids.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in estimation and costing with a joinery and fit-out company is a must.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and market trends.
• Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
