We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with 5-10 years of experience in interior fit-out contracting or construction companies in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost estimation processes, including pricing, tender preparation, quantity surveying, and risk management. As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the estimation process for large-scale projects, work closely with the project management team, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and ensure that all estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with the project requirements and budget.
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for a range of projects, including interior fit-outs , renovations , and construction projects, and ensuring that costs are effectively controlled throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation & Tender Preparation:
• Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for all phases of interior fit-out projects, from initial concept to final handover.
• Analyze project documents , including drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation, to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Work with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure that the estimates meet project requirements and adhere to budget constraints.
• Prepare detailed tender submissions , including bill of quantities (BOQ) , labor estimates, material costs, and other necessary documentation.
• Ensure all tenders are competitive and comply with client specifications and scope of work.
• Material Take-Off & Quantity Surveying:
• Perform accurate material take-offs from drawings and specifications for interior fit-out works, including partitioning , ceilings , flooring , joinery , and other related works.
• Quantify and measure required materials, ensuring quantities are correct and based on the latest design documents.
• Coordinate with design teams and subcontractors to ensure that all aspects of the work are covered in the estimates.
• Cost Control & Budgeting:
• Monitor and track project costs to ensure that estimates align with actual expenditures.
• Prepare and present cost reports to senior management, highlighting variances and recommending adjustments to keep projects within budget.
• Manage changes to the scope of work by preparing variations and ensuring that all cost implications are considered.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination:
• Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain accurate quotations for materials, labor, and services.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms for materials and services.
• Ensure that subcontractor costs are included in the overall estimate and that subcontractors are adequately briefed on project requirements.
• Risk Management & Value Engineering:
• Identify potential risks associated with cost estimation, including market fluctuations, material shortages, and unforeseen conditions.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to improve project cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide guidance to senior management on how to manage potential risks during project execution.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship:
• Lead and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and support in the preparation of estimates and the resolution of technical issues.
• Conduct internal training sessions to improve the estimation team's knowledge and efficiency in using estimation software and other tools.
• Ensure that all estimates meet the company's internal standards and guidelines for quality and accuracy.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all estimates, bids, and proposals, ensuring proper documentation of all revisions, clarifications, and approvals.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on estimating activities, including tender submissions, project costs, and forecasts.
• Track and report the progress of ongoing tenders and estimates, providing regular updates to management.
• Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management:
• Attend meetings with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements, scope, and budget.
• Clarify any discrepancies in design, scope, or specifications during the estimation process.
• Ensure that client requirements are incorporated into estimates and that the company maintains a positive relationship with key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience:
• 5-10 years of UAE-based experience in estimating for interior fit-out contracting , construction , or building services projects.
• Proven experience in leading estimation efforts for large-scale projects, including commercial , residential , and industrial interior fit-out and construction projects.
• Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management , Quantity Surveying , or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in cost estimation , quantity surveying , or project management (e.g., RICS , AACEI , CSCS ) are preferred.
• Skills & Expertise:
• Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst , CostX , Bluebeam , or similar tools).
• In-depth knowledge of UAE construction and interior fit-out market practices, pricing, and standards.
• Excellent understanding of project drawings , specifications , BOQs , and tender documents .
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and offer value engineering solutions.
• Proficient in quantity take-off and cost breakdown for construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to work with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Language Skills:
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Other Requirements:
• Valid UAE driving license (required for site visits and client/subcontractor coordination).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
