Estimation/Tender Engineer

Gulf Group Holding , a well-known name in Ras Al Khaimah for the last 5 decades is a diversified business group. We do business in construction, MEP, Hypermarket retail, Ready mix concrete, Healthcare, explosives, bakery, Motor Rewinding, Printing, and real state.

We are looking to hire for:

Group Company - GULFCO

Position - Estimation/Tender Engineer

Location - Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

Nationality - Any

Gender - Male

Experience - 10 to 15 years of related work experience.

Salary - 10000 to 12000 AED

Roles Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Tender Estimation:

Review and analyse tender documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.

Gather pricing information and quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant sources.

Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction and civil engineering projects.

Quantity Surveying:

Measure and quantify materials, labour, and other resources required for project execution.

Ensure accuracy in quantity take-offs and bills of quantities in alignment with project specifications.

Evaluate and track changes in scope or quantities to assess cost impact.

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Estimation:(Coordination only)

Apply knowledge of MEP systems to estimate costs related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components of the project.

Collaborate with MEP teams to integrate and optimize MEP designs within project budgets.

Cost Control and Budgeting:

Analyse project costs and establish project budgets based on historical data and market trends.

Monitor cost variations and ensure alignment with project budgets during the bidding and construction phases.

Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimations and develop contingency plans.

Suggest cost-effective solutions and value engineering options to clients.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align cost estimates with project execution plans.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure transparency and accuracy in estimation processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and submit estimation reports, cost breakdowns, and financial summaries to management and clients.

Maintain and update historical cost databases for future estimation accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

10 to 15 years of experience in estimation, preferably with pre-tender experience in the building construction and civil industry.

Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and estimation techniques.

Familiarity with construction estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, CostX, Plan swift)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
