About the Role
Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Sr. Wet Utilities Engineer for its Land Development team in Abu Dhabi, to support with the technical delivery of multiple master-planning/land development projects across the Emirate.


Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:


• Prepare reports and design documentation for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare hydraulic modelling for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water.
• Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects to Mott MacDonald clients.
• Conduct a technical review for progress reporting.
• Liaising/meeting with developers, clients or stakeholders to update on progress.
• Provide any reports update to the projects design managers and project managers including clients when needed.
• Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements. Report and advice on deviations from the same
• Assist in providing design, reports, and liaison role for all disciplines/departments.
• Assist the Manager/Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other Mott MacDonald teams.
• Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients.
• Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues.
• Outline cost and quantity estimation for wet services.

Candidate Specification :

• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering; progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution.
• Design of pressurised and gravity systems using Civil3D
• Hydraulic modelling of pressurised and gravity systems
• Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, clients and stakeholders.
• Experience of design and approval of infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi
• In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi Authority Guidelines is a must.
• Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (DPM/UPC, ADDC, TRANSCO, DoE/ ADWEA, ETISALAT, DU, RSB, ADM, DEWA, RTA, DM)
• Experienced in BIM
• In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must.
• Must come from a strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects.
• Project Management Professional, or similar qualifications
• Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, Openutilities etc.
