Understanding the RF engineering concept design and detailed design. Evaluating, testing, simulating and analysing different RF components.Key Accountabilities:
Design high-power RF amplifiers and power combiners adhering to industry best practices.
Familiarity with radar altimeters, Instrument Landing Systems, VHF Radios, GNSS, and related technologies.
Assemble RF components for testing, ensuring alignment with relevant guidelines.
Test RF amplifiers and power combiners following established testing procedures.
Prepare project reports on results and progress, utilizing standard reporting formats.
Collaborate effectively with project team members, aligning with industry norms.
Interact with scientific partners, suppliers, and manufacturers, ensuring adherence to common practices.
Participate actively in multidisciplinary discussions within the domain of Halcon activities, integrating relevant practices.
Fulfill other duties as assigned within the scope of the position, maintaining consistency with established practices.
Offer insights to management regarding future RF requirements and needs.
Experience & Education Qualifications:
BSc Electrical/Electronics, RF, or Telecommunications Engineering.
Key Skills:
Experience in laboratory work, including creating and using RF test setups with various RF test equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Noise Figure Meters, Signal Generators, and Power Meters) to test and validate prototype designs.
Strong theoretical knowledge of RF concepts.
Practical experience in implementing RF designs.
Basic understanding and knowledge in Signal analysis, Fourier transform, probability and random variables transform, probability and random variables.
Basic electromagnetics theory, measurement and analysis methods including, RF propagation, Interference analysis, antenna measurement, link budget calculations, microwave network analysis, S-parameter, and Impedance matching
Basic understanding in Digital communications system, modulation techniques, multiple access techniques, source coding and decoding, and channel coding and decoding techniques.
Systematic fault finding and problem solving at subsystem and system level.
Engineering SW tools, such as, MATLAB, Simulink, CST/HFSS, and Microwave office.
