About the JobThe jobholder is responsible for providing instrument & control engineering expertise to ensure the operating condition for all respective equipment\'s to support Borouge\'s operations and systems in line with original equipment manufacturer\'s user guide and engineering standards, and relevant ADNOC and International Standards. This role includes; performing complex trouble shooting, root-cause failure analysis and design review to provide solutions for equipment repair; modifications to enhance equipment performance; studying equipment failure data to continually improve and implement the most appropriate maintenance strategy; advising on critical and complex jobs to ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed; and supervising the operation of instrument and control equipment in a reliable and safe manner to achieve efficient and economic performance and to meet the operations requirements.Key AccountabilitiesEquipment MaintenanceSuggest modifications for existing setup or the installation of new equipment for the improvement and modernization of the Network infrastructure.Direct the enhancement and tuning of automated hardware and software.Review system status, diagnostic logs and troubleshoot system issues.Identify Major Issues & device Short term & long term solutions for the issues.Administer and configure the DCS Network Hardware and Software which includes OPC servers, Level3 application servers, service nodes, Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches in the automation network layerSupports for improvement and maintenance of process control networks of systems such as IPCS, analyzer, Condition Monitoring and F&GPlanningReview requirements for new equipment or major repairs, evaluates existing as well as new proposals, and make recommendations to the Section head.Plan, prepare and execute system software and hardware updates.Perform obsolescence planning for upkeep of the entire system including hardware / software.Providing the estimation cost for Network project.Assist in preparation and updating of ISO procedures.Plan and Manages windows patch deployment on Process control network nodes for timely deployment to keep all systems fully patched as per the PCN policy.Maintain the deployment of Domain Architecture and plan for account and policy for better security \xef\x82\xb7 Maintain the deployment of antivirus to all PCN nodes and plans for enhancement of Security on a regular basis to achieve high security perimeter for PCN.Plan and execute upgrades for software of various systems to keep them in the latest supported levels by respective Software OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as Instrumentation & Control Engineer.
Hands on administration and configuration of DCS Network Hardware and Software which includes Cisco Firewalls, Routers and Switches.
Knowledge of system diagnostic capabilities, back-up routines
Hands on and working knowledge on relevant systems\' configuration, network administration & maintenance, programs, sequences & logics.
Windows patch management for Process control nodes for Experion DCS, APC, and RTIMS (OSI-PI).
Antivirus Server McAfee management for Process Control nodes
Experience in Honeywell RTIMS system troubleshooting and modifications
Experience in Application Logic development, Implementation & troubleshooting
Hands-on and theoretical training on OSISoft\'s RTIMS System Configuration & troubleshooting.
Preferable knowledge on automation systems like Honeywell\'s and/or Experion DCS/ESD, knowledge of Honeywell PHD systems.
Microsoft Windows administration skills \xef\x82\xb7 Experience on engineering archiving and retrieval systems; i.e. EDMS, etc.
