As a Senior Embryologist with 5 years of experience and an active MOH license, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of laboratory work involved in assisted reproductive technology (ART), including IVF, ICSI, egg retrieval, embryo culture, and embryo transfer procedures. You will work closely with the medical team to ensure the highest standards of care for patients undergoing fertility treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
Embryology Procedures
:
Perform routine and advanced embryology procedures, including egg collection, sperm preparation, embryo culture, embryo biopsy, ICSI, and embryo freezing.
Supervise and guide junior embryologists and laboratory technicians, ensuring the highest quality of work.
Manage embryo storage and provide patient updates on embryo development and quality.
Participate in pre- and post-treatment consultations with patients, providing them with necessary information and answering queries.
Quality Control & Lab Management
:
Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the lab, including maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of specimens.
Perform routine laboratory maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Monitor and ensure compliance with national and international standards for ART procedures, as well as any regulations from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all laboratory processes and results.
Research and Development
:
Stay updated on the latest developments in embryology and ART techniques.
Participate in clinical research and development of new technologies and protocols for improved success rates.
Collaboration and Patient Care
:
Work closely with IVF specialists, andrology experts, and nursing staff to plan and carry out ART treatments.
Provide professional consultations with patients, offering advice on embryo health, ART procedures, and expectations for outcomes.
Supervision and Mentoring
:
Supervise and mentor junior embryologists and laboratory assistants.
Train new laboratory staff and assist with continuing education for team members.
Compliance and Reporting
:
Adhere to all local regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions and laboratory procedures in line with the MOH guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, or a related field.
Minimum of
5 years of hands-on experience
in an IVF laboratory.
Active MOH License
(Ministry of Health ).
Proven expertise in ART procedures such as IVF, ICSI, embryo cryopreservation, and sperm function tests.
Strong knowledge of laboratory protocols, fertility treatments, and ethical guidelines in ART.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality.
Familiarity with laboratory management software and documentation practices.
