Job Summary:
The ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Senior Pre-Sales Estimation Engineer is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical solutions and support to both the sales team and customers. This role entails a deep understanding of customer requirements, the preparation and presentation of tailored solutions, and ensuring that these solutions align with the technical and commercial needs of the client. The engineer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between client needs and the company's offerings, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
1.) Technical Expertise and Consultation:
Provide technical support and consultation to the sales team and clients regarding ELV systems, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, public address systems, and building management systems (BMS). Conduct site surveys and assessments to understand client requirements and project scope.
2.) Solution Design and Proposal:
Develop and design technical solutions based on client requirements and project specifications. Prepare detailed technical proposals, including system designs, schematics, bill of materials (BOM), and cost estimates. Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and meet the necessary standards.
3.) Client Interaction and Support:
Present technical solutions and proposals to clients, addressing their questions and concerns. Provide pre-sales demonstrations, presentations, and technical training to clients and internal teams. Act as a liaison between the client and the engineering team during the pre-sales phase.
4.) Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and project specifications. Prepare and submit regular reports on pre-sales activities, project status, and client feedback to the management team ( MOM Form).
5.) Market and Product Knowledge:
Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and products in the ELV systems market. Conduct competitor analysis to identify market opportunities and threats. Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to network and promote the company's products and solutions.
6.) Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless project handover and execution. Provide technical training and support to sales and marketing teams to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a pre-sales or technical support role within the ELV systems industry.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and public address systems.
• Proficiency in using design and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in ELV systems design or relevant technologies.
• Experience in project management or sales roles.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Working Conditions: This position may require travel to client sites and project locations. Occasional extended working hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines or client needs.
