Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Buildings) - Full Time Reporting To: Head of MEP : A Senior Building Service Electrical Design Engineer, you will be required to work auto independently or with a team to develop the successful projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment. Responsibility: \xc2\xb7 Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, and associated organizations. \xc2\xb7 Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. \xc2\xb7 Providing technical review, advice and support on the design, and engineering, of mechanical systems for building projects. \xc2\xb7 Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, and other documents required. \xc2\xb7 Managing a team of draftsmen and liaison with Architect \xc2\xb7 Preparation of Design Concept reports, data sheet and specifications. \xc2\xb7 Performing Design calculations for optimization and compliance of applicable standards, codes, and local regulations. \xc2\xb7 Designing and Review of LV system, Light and Power distribution, Telecom and Low current systems, Emergency services, Security system, UPS and Generator, and Fire Alarm System. \xc2\xb7 Will be required to assist with site engineers as needed during construction. \xc2\xb7 Provide technical assistance to concerned departments, liaison with Architect, Structural engineers, and site visits (whenever required) to support the project team. Qualification Bachelors degree in electrical engineering. Membership of a professional Engineering Institution would be an advantage. Minimum of 12 years post graduate experience ideally within an Architectural, Engineering construction consultancy environment in the UAE region Experience \xc2\xb7 Experience on projects from Concept through Tender is a must. \xc2\xb7 Expertise in all aspects of electrical engineering within construction, including HV, LV, Telecom, and fire safety of various types of building and construction. \xc2\xb7 Proven experience in large scale development projects, at least 2-years experience as a Lead Engineer, managing requirements of a project independently. \xc2\xb7 Extensive knowledge of British and American Electrical codes and standards. Skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written communication. \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment. \xc2\xb7 Excellent knowledge of local statutory authorities regulations and submission requirements across Middle East, mainly, UAE - DUBAI.
