As well, we are faster and more flexible in meeting customer requirements.Job Summary:The Senior Editor is responsible to ensure that all Company materials and documents are professionally maintained and presented using Company templates and that the content is clear, consistent, well-structured and linguistically correct to reflect the integrity of information while meeting the required quality standards. The Senior editor is also responsible for establishing, maintaining an operational Technical Document Library within Halcon Configuration Management department.Key Accountabilities:
Create and produce Company Operational templates for documents and forms adhering to the company standards.
Ensure that all documents and materials are professionally documented and maintained using company templates.
Set publication standards of the documents establishing clear standard operating procedures and protocols.
Proofread, review, edit, and verify documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency of style, completeness, and quality of content and that it meets the company or customer\'s needs.
Perform research in order to accurately edit, prepare, and produce technical documentation.
Ensure documentation promotes a positive image of the organization and complies with company documentation standards.
Maintain current Document Standard Templates (DST) for internal use by Halcon employees on company operational documents.
Maintain appropriate databases and/or files of different versions of documents to build a source of reference.
Establish a Technical Operational Library for Halcon ensuring the latest information available for Halcon personnel.
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Minimum: 10+ years of experience in professional writing, editing, and proofreading of technical or non-technical documents with an excellent command over English language (grammar, usage, diction, style) including portfolio work.
Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides to implement company standards on documentation.
Ability to work independently and with a team to meet targets
Bachelor\'s degree in English, journalism, or a related field
Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills
Preferred: 7+ years of experience in a defence industry technical environment / Arabic language as mother tongue
Preferred: Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism, English or related field
Knowledge of word processing software packages (e.g. Microsoft suite, VBA)
Knowledge of editing skills including text-publishing methods, standards, and practices
