Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern DevOps practices and technologies, with expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, advanced networking, security, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform. This role will focus on building, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure, as well as optimizing deployment processes. While the primary focus is on technical excellence, there is potential for growth into a leadership role based on demonstrated capabilities and contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Infrastructure Design and Implementation:• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and other cutting-edge technologies.
• •Automation and Orchestration:• Develop and maintain automation scripts and orchestration tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management, leveraging Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform.
• •CI/CD Pipeline Development:• Design, implement, and optimise continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery, including automated testing and rollback strategies.
• •Monitoring and Logging:• Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues, ensuring high system performance and availability.
• •Security and Compliance:• Implement advanced security measures, including vulnerability scanning, access control, and data encryption, to protect infrastructure and applications. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• •Advanced Networking:• Design and manage complex networking configurations, including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS, to support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• •Collaboration and Support:• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and services. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
• •Continuous Improvement:• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud engineering. Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
• •Mentorship and Leadership:• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment. While not initially a formal leadership role, there is potential for growth based on demonstrated performance.

Qualifications:

• •Technical Expertise:• Extensive experience in DevOps, system administration, or a related field, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• •Infrastructure as Code:• Proven experience with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools, including automated deployment and configuration management.
• •Networking and Security:• Deep understanding of networking principles and security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, TLS/SSL, IAM, and data encryption.
• •Cloud Platforms:• Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
• •CI/CD and Automation:• Strong background in CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), with experience in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• •Monitoring and Logging Tools:• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Splunk.
• •Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• •Communication and Collaboration:• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Certifications:• Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.
• •Experience with Emerging Technologies:• Exposure to or experience with serverless architectures, service mesh (e.g., Istio), and microservices is a plus.
• •Scripting and Programming:• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Ruby) and familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Nice to Have:

• •Experience with Observability and APM Tools:• Familiarity with Application Performance Management (APM) tools like New Relic, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
• •DevSecOps Practices:• Knowledge of integrating security practices into the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps), including automated security testing and compliance checks.
• •Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning:• Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies and business continuity plans.
• •Agile and Scrum Experience:• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with a focus on iterative development and continuous improvement.
