The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Design Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Interior Fitout Contracting industry in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design coordination process, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious projects and contribute to the success of our organization. Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the design coordination process from concept to completion, ensuring that all design elements align with project requirements and industry standards - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and review design concepts, drawings, and specifications - Provide guidance and support to the design team, including mentoring and coaching junior designers and coordinators - Review and approve design documentation, including drawings, schedules, and material selections, to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements - Coordinate with external consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to integrate their design contributions into the overall project design - Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the implementation of design elements and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise - Participate in design review meetings and contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the overall design and functionality of projects - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continually improve the design coordination process and outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; Master\'s degree is a plus - Proven experience as a design coordinator or similar role in the interior fitout contracting industry - Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software; knowledge of BIM is highly desirable - Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes - Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines - Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders - Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics and quality - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities - Familiarity with sustainability principles and their integration into design practices is a plus
