:Our client, a global IT consulting firm, is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to be based on one of their client sites in Dubai. The preferred candidate should Lead the design, deployment, and management of the SAP HANA FSDP platform to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.Your responsibilities will include:\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement best practices for the architecture, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP HANA FSDP environment.\xc2\xb7 Ensure the platform is up-to-date with the latest patches and upgrades.\xc2\xb7 Monitor platform performance and perform tuning to optimize efficiency and throughput.\xc2\xb7 Set up and manage multiple environments (development, QA, production). Implement environment cloning, backups, and disaster recovery processes.\xc2\xb7 Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure secure and appropriate access. Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and maintain user access logs.\xc2\xb7 Ensure platform security by configuring and monitoring security settings.\xc2\xb7 Conduct regular security assessments and audits to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities.\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.\xc2\xb7 Perform regular health checks of the Informatica platform and address any anomalies.\xc2\xb7 Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues.\xc2\xb7 Implement and manage regular backup procedures to ensure data protection.Provide day-to-day support for Informatica environments, addressing user queries and issues.\xc2\xb7 Optimize views, database interactions, and platform configurations for better performance.\xc2\xb7 Analyze system usage trends and plan for future capacity needs.\xc2\xb7 Implement scaling strategies to accommodate growing data volumes and user demands.\xc2\xb7 Conduct proactive maintenance activities to prevent potential issues.\xc2\xb7 Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide technical insights.\xc2\xb7 Provide training and support to end-users and junior team members on platform usage and best practices.\xc2\xb7 Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials.\xc2\xb7 Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform configurations, procedures, and operations.\xc2\xb7 Generate and present regular reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need possess the below criteria:\xc2\xb7 More than 6+ years of experience in information technology, with 4+ years spent in SAP HANA Platform Engineering/Administration\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Informatica installation, configuration, and administration.Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation.\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).\xc2\xb7 Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.SAP HANA administration certification is a plusCandidates willing to relocate to Dubai and comfortable considering a contractual role are encouraged to apply for this position.Immediate joiners will be preferred or candidate with a maximum of 30 days notice period
