:Senior Cost ManagerAbu Dhabi, UAEParsons is looking for a Senior Cost Manager to work as part of a team managing cost within a secondment role with one of our key Clients in our Abu Dhabi sector. The Senior Cost Manager will report to the Senior Contract Manager. They must be experienced and capable in all Cost Management matters. This position may require travel to our Client's offices or to the project site or to the Parsons Abu Dhabi head office as may be required throughout the duration of the assignment.What You\'ll Be Doing:Will be responsible for exercising a qualified level of cost management including cost planning, controlling and reporting proficiency.Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reports to accurately reflect current budgets, invoices and committed costs; projected-to-go or cost-to-complete estimates; budget variances; cash flow projections; and schedule of values for individual projects.Provide trending information to assist in forecasting potential problems with cost and time.Manage work breakdown structures and revisions.Coordinate conceptual estimates for various design and construction estimates to provide program budgets.Development and maintenance of automated program cost database.Provide, annually, a fiscal budget and past period cost performance report.Provide, monthly, a consolidated program cost performance report.Proven construction experience in estimating, bidding and job cost preparation; and an understanding of construction contracts, scheduling and general construction management principles is required.Construction experience in change order review / negotiations process preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills.Performs tasks required by the Senior Contracts Manager and Client on an as needs basis.What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or similarMinimum 10 years experience in industry from a cost or estimation background with experience within large international engineering and construction firms looking after infrastructure and residential projects.Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and commercial and cost matters.Possesses strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of standard software packages typically associated with contract administration.Must be capable of independently managing cost matters.Proven ability for managing and directing work involving complex situations.Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices.Chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) would be advantageous.Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
