Role overview We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our Food Team. You’ll be responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports.

Role overview We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our Food Team. You’ll be responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases and inventory
- Analyzing data collected and recording results and preparing Variance Analysis reports
- Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
- Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
- Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
- Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
- Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
- Supports physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Ideal Candidate Requirements & Skills
- Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- Experience with accounting software
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study
