The Opportunity
To develop and coordinate alumnae relations programs that enable Zayed University to provide appropriate social and professional support services to graduates. To establish alumnae as future ambassadors and employers for ZU graduates.
The Responsibilities
Develop and implement the alumnae program on campus.
Establish and oversee an active and involved Alumnae Association.
Establish and maintain a set of alumnae programs including social activities, professional support, trips, speaker presentations, and alumnae benefits. Coordinate all events and activities related to these programs.
Establish and maintain a working order and method of engaging alumnae, fourth year students, faculty and staff in alumnae programs. Collaborate with the Colleges to promote additional College-based contact and programs with their graduates.
Collaborate with Student Services and other departments to facilitate leadership and community service programs for alumnae.
Establish and implement a formalized method of communicating with alumnae. This may take the form of electronic and paper newsletters, and an alumnae website.
Manage all alumnae-related tasks, including disbursement of alumnae cards and digital diplomas, and assisting with graduation ceremonies.
Establish, update, and maintain information on graduate school programs and scholarships, both locally and internationally. Facilitate presentations to 4th year students and graduates. Track graduates who pursue graduate school and share this information with Career Services.
Additional duties as assigned.
The Requirements
3-4 years of meaningful experience in Alumnae Relations, Adult Education, Career Development, Human Resources, Recruiting, Management Development, Training and Education, or equivalent position within a university or industry.
Bachelor's degree in related field
Possession of the skills and diplomacy necessary to work with students and faculty, and to represent the University in a professional manner.
Other essential requirements
Experience planning, organizing and coordinating university alumnae programs.
Ability to creatively develop alumnae programs in response to changing campus and student needs.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with diverse communities of individuals and groups both within and outside Zayed University.
Responsive to students needs, on and off campus.
Ability to work with University faculty and management in collaborative, effective manner.
Ability to analyze complex situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action.
Adaptability, flexibility, diplomacy and tact.
Strong initiative and positive attitude
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
