Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of international EPC contracts, subcontracts, and consortium agreements in alignment with FIDIC standards and regional legal frameworks.
Ensure contractual compliance with UAE/GCC laws, international regulations, and company policies.
Manage complex engineering claims, variations, and disputes, including preparation of counterclaims, delay analyses, and expert reports.
Coordinate with legal teams and external arbitrators to resolve disputes efficiently through mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
Develop risk management strategies to safeguard project profitability and mitigate contractual, financial, and operational risks.
Advise project teams on contractual obligations, entitlements, and compliance during execution.
Act as the primary commercial interface for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities in the Middle East.
Lead high-stakes negotiations to secure favorable terms and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Monitor changes in regional laws, market practices, and industry standards affecting contract management.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to contractual terms and local regulations.
Partner with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments to align commercial strategies with project objectives.
Provide training to junior staff on FIDIC clauses, claims management, and regional contracting practices.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or Business Administration.
Master's degree or certification in Contract Law/Arbitration (e.g., CIArb, MRICS) is highly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in commercial contracts management for large-scale engineering/construction projects in the Middle East.
Proven expertise in FIDIC-based contracts (Red/Yellow Book), EPC/EPCM contracting models, and GCC dispute resolution mechanisms.
Prior employment with top-tier international engineering firms, consultancy firms, or legal advisory firms is a strong advantage.
Deep understanding of Middle Eastern construction laws, tax regulations, and commercial practices.
Advanced skills in claims preparation (time/cost impacts), delay analysis (TIA, EOT), and contract administration tools.
Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Exceptional negotiation, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Nationality: Priority given to candidates from Egypt, GCC countries, or other Middle Eastern nations.
Experience in arbitration proceedings (DIAC, ICC, or ADCCAC) and familiarity with Islamic finance principles.
