Senior Consultant - Green Hydrogen SME Role Context: The Green Hydrogen Subject Matter Expert will have a deep knowledge and proven experience in Hydrogen technologies and support the delivery of consultancy assignments for large-scale Hydrogen projects worldwide. Using your deep technical knowledge of the technologies used for the production and use of Green Hydrogen, you will contribute -in close cooperation with other disciplines- to the development of feasibility and conceptual studies, preliminary design & cost estimate studies, techno-economic and hydrogen production models, technical Due Diligences and the provision of technical advisory services in accordance with the project requirements and any applicable statutory and regulatory specification. You'll be: · Leading large workstreams/areas of a technical assignment, including the execution technical activities · Participate in feasibility studies for the implementation of green hydrogen production plants and green derivates. · Optimising of the renewable energy source and energy storage systems which minimise the levelized cost of hydrogen or corresponding energy carrier. · Assessing the green chemicals potential off takers for each particular project. · Supporting in the site selection for the implementation of green chemicals production plants considering safety issues. · Overseeing the conceptual design of green hydrogen facilities, either integrated or not with other industries, entailing the development of heat and material balances, equipment, and pipelines sizing. · Optioneering assessment of cooling systems, product storage capacity and water sources for the electrolysis process and other plants such as green ammonia synthesis, methanol and MtG.
You'll have: · Engineering Degree required. Master of Science preferred. Chemical engineering background is highly valuable. · Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial projects engineering development. Process engineering background is highly valuable. · Minimum 3 years of experience in Green Hydrogen projects development. · Technical competences: · Deep knowledge of hydrogen produced by electrolysis technologies and markets state of art. · Good knowledge of process design calculations including the use of software such as HYSYS or similar. · Good knowledge of international hydrogen policies and regulatory framework. · Good knowledge of renewable energy sources and energy back-up options. · Good knowledge of traditional (grey) hydrogen and oxygen production and end users will be valuable · Knowledge of carbon capture and processes such as ammonia, methanol and synthetic fuels production will be valuable. · Knowledge of compressors, water treatment plants and hydrogen storage systems design will be valuable. · Knowledge of cost estimating and/or safety modelling will be valuable. · Power & Renewable Energy technologies experience, particularly in the detailed design and/or construction of large projects, is preferred but not mandatory. · Technical Advisory experience (e.g. PMC, Owners Engineer, LTA, etc.) is preferred, but not mandatory. · Fluid English is a requirement (written and spoken) and other languages (Arabic, French, others) are an advantage
