OverviewTo process the payroll function in order to secure its efficient operations while abiding by the rules & regulations of the division. Ensure compensation and benefits plans are cost-effective and competitive by keeping abreast of the compensation and benefits trends in the field.ResponsibilitiesCompensation & Benefits ProcessingParticipates in the preparation of the yearly C&B payroll budget and monitors progress throughout the year. * Partakes in the compensation benchmarking exercise by consolidating and summarizing the generated market analysis data.
Participates in revamping the sales incentive schemes by channel to ensure competitive edge.
Monitors & follows up regularly with sales managers on the right implementation & processes of the incentive schemes.
Coordinates the accurate processing of payroll within a specified timeframe to ensure accordance with statutory requirements.
Calculates and processes all salary and wage increases in addition to other adjustments and termination payments to ensure accordance with statutory requirements.
Processes authorized deductions and allocations of labor costs (payroll taxes, NSSF deductions, employee benefits etc.) paid by both the employee and employer in order to calculate precise monthly wages.
Ensures that all payroll information on the computerized payroll system is updated to maintain reliability and to prepare accurate reports as required.
Facilitates the electronic & physical transfer of salaries and wages to financial institutions to ensure the confidential receipt of information on time.
Conducts all payroll accounting entries throughout the month and generate the monthly statement for relevant accounts.
Reconciles payroll general ledger accounts on monthly basis and at year end to ensure the matching of accounts.
Organizing & ReportingEnsures that all employee payroll information and documentation and records are received, accurate and complete and maintained to allow ease of access of full & updated personnel files. * Updates on monthly basis the C&B KPIs figures in addition to the consolidation of Recruitment and L&D KPIs to the HR dashboard
Provides effective solutions to administrative payroll issues to make them less time-consuming.
Prepares reports on payroll issues to achieve periodic review of policies and procedures.
QualificationsAcademic Education & Professional Certifications
BA in Accounting
HR Certification is a plus
3 - 5 years of experience in Payroll
Exposure to HR is a plus
Skills & Competencies
Excellent command of Excel computer skills
JDE Payroll Software knowledge is a plus
Very Good Reporting skills
General Knowledge in accounting principles
Knowledge of Income & NSSF taxations
Knowledge of Labor Law
