Responsibilities

To act as a focal point for the civil structure related topics with focus on the Qatar Rail Long Distance Projects. To ensure that the structural requirements are coordinated with all internal and external stakeholders, the necessary authority approvals have been obtained and that the civil/structure scope is reflected in the tender documents as per Qatar Rail's aspiration. During Tender and Execution to act as focal point on client side for queries, coordination and review to ensure that the highest level of quality and state of the art will be delivered. Prepare Employer's Requirements for civil structures in new delivery projects (above and below ground), set the acceptance criteria and provide all technical input including coordination of preparation and quality check of drawings for tender preparation. . Provide technical assessment of offers from bidders during procurement phase. . Review Contractor's submissions and provide technical assessment on compliance to the Employer's Requirements. . Oversee the document review process for Civil Structures and ensure by checking that Qatar Rail's interests (time/quality/budget) are met. . Chair interface meetings with internal and external stakeholders for technical escalation topics (civil structures) and drive them to the most optimal technical solution for Qatar Rail. . Conduct regular site inspections. . Assess Contractor's claims and prepare Employer's claims for civil structures. . Follow-up Civil Defect identification and close-out. . Initiate and review change requests for civil structures, present to higher management, follow up all steps till implementation and close-out. . Ensure that reporting on Civil Structures progress is transparent. . Train Qatari Nationals as part of the Qatarization targets in the field of Civil Structures. Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 12 years work experience (site and design) where 5 years minimum for railway project, partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
