Job position: Senior CDP Teppanyaki
Job location: Abu Dhabi
Role Overview:
Supervises, coordinates, and participates in activities of chefs and other kitchen personnel engaged in preparing and cooking food in the Club, restaurant, or any assigned kitchen in the resort.
Main Duties
Assist the Head chef and Sous chef in providing catering service to customers and clients
Assist the Head Chef in covering for Sous Chef when on leave
Assist in maintaining an efficient ordering system in accordance with company policy
Assist in maintaining an efficient kitchen record system in line with company policy
Manage deliveries and stock rooms in line with company policy
Control stock; reduce waste and drive sales
Complete all records as directed accurately and in timely manner
Provide and efficient and friendly service to customers and serve customers in a timely and efficient manner if required
Ensure all areas within kitchen control are clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
Ensure the safety and security of company and client property and money
Report all complaints and compliments to line manager, taking action where practicable
Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where possible
To operate and participate in the efficient smooth running of the Kitchen
To prepare, cook and present for service any meals required to the standards set by the Head Chef and management
Work and co-operate with other supervisors to ensure that any foods being served to our customers is to the laid down standards
In the absence of the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef be accountable for the smooth running of the kitchen, including the preparation, cooking and presentation of all foods to the agreed standards
Keep an overall check on the accuracy of standards of all food deliveries
To monitor the safe storage and control of any potentially harmful materials and chemicals used within the department and ensure that such materials are appropriately marked and signposted
To undertake other duties appropriate to the post as required
Follow company policies and procedures, demonstrate efficient teamwork and contribute to the achievement of business goals
Requirements:
Diploma or High School or GED in Hospitality or certification in culinary arts
Previous experience in UAE or any other country as CDP Teppanyaki, minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Hospitality in a similar role is preferred
Previous training for Essential Food & Safety in the UAE (EFST), Food Hygiene, etc.
Excellent in preparing, creating and always up to date with menus, ingredients, and style, recipes, cooking, etc.
Has full knowledge of hygiene, hotel safety, and emergency procedure
Strong stamina because this job will require you to stand in a long period
Salary Range: 3,600 AED to 3,900 AED (depending on experience +sharing accommodation + 3 x Meals/day + 250 AED additional allowance upon completion of 6 mos. + free uniform + free transportation inside the company + Every 2 years ticket cash (roundtrip to home country) + visa & medical insurance will be provided.
