PETROGAS is looking for a talent Senior Business Planning & Financial Analyst to drive the formulation and monitoring of effective consolidated business plans and carry out business analysis to enable us to achieve its corporate objectives.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Plan and execute Corporate Planning Cycle through which the company develops, reviews, and communicate the strategies and directions, leading to development of 5 year rolling consolidated business plan by collaborating with all E&P Subsidiaries and
the different departments.
2. Support the strategic planning process by providing long term cash flows projections reflecting the assumptions outlined in the strategic plan. Provide guide all departments and associated projects teams in creation of their respective budgets.
3. Develop and maintain economic models for all existing assets and report different scenarios as and when required.
4. Facilitate compilation of annual balanced score card establishing clear and well-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and then reporting against it on periodic basis.
5. Compile quarterly, mid-year and end-year business performance review packs for management and board & support Corporate Manager Finance in finalization & presentation for management & board.
6. Provide economic and commercial evaluation support to NBD and Exploration
departments. required.
7. Advice Corporate Manager Finance on all commercial aspects of JOA and EPSA of all existing assets and any potential acquisition.
8. Take the lead in compilation of all corporate reports including company's corporate presentation, annual report, shareholder reports, annual sustainability reports, integrated report, ESG Reporting and any other reports.
Principal Challenges:
. Understanding of complex financial data, reports and financial statements, economic and financial modelling and valuation techniques.
. Understanding of business processes, related operations,
. Working with multifunctional & multicultural teams (Operations and Accounts & Finance departments) to compile information and carry out analysis of consolidated businesses as and when required.
. Controlling the challenge session of work program and budget with budget holders and Management team before it is submitted for final approval
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be an accounting and finance or a business graduate with minimum 10 years of overall experience including a role in a business and planning in an oil and gas company. Consideration will also be given to candidates with a petroleum engineering background with good appreciation of financial and accounting concepts and
relevant experience in business and planning role. MBA from a reputable university or any relevant certifications will be added advantage (e.g. CFA).
. Candidate must possess a solid understanding of the oil and gas business and the various applicable operating models, strong hands-on analytical and financial modelling skills, economic analysis, and expert user of MS excel & PowerPoint.
