The Role A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Abu Dhabi office of a well-known US law firm. This office serves an impressive client base and offers a diverse range of services. This role will focus on supporting ambitious growth plans for the Abu Dhabi office through strategic business development, high-profile campaigns, events, and communications across all practice areas. The successful candidate will work closely with a Dubai-based Senior BD Manager and be supported by a co-ordinator based in London. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Abu Dhabi partners and the UK BD team to develop business development strategies and marketing campaigns aligned with firm goals. - Lead efforts to drive revenue and build relationships in key sectors, including corporate and energy. - Manage the business development and marketing budget for the Abu Dhabi office, ensuring cost-effective campaigns and initiatives. - Draft and coordinate pitch documents for new business opportunities, working closely with the global BD and Bids teams. - Maintain up-to-date pitch materials and credentials, in collaboration with London-based operations teams. - Organize high-profile events in collaboration with lawyers and the global events team to strengthen client relationships and maximize ROI. - Support internal communications to ensure the firms activities in Abu Dhabi and the broader region are well understood across the global network. - Lead directory and award submissions to elevate the market profile of the Abu Dhabi office and its practice areas.Requirements The firm is seeking a strategic, hands-on professional who is experienced in business development and has worked within a global law firm or similar environment. The ideal candidate will have: - Proven experience in a Business Development role at a management level, ideally within a law firm and/or have legal background. - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion. - Experience working with international teams and the ability to communicate efficiently across time zones. - Excellent influencing skills, with a strong ability to build relationships at all levels. - A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. - Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to generate meaningful business intelligence. - A track record of working in lean teams where they have needed to "roll their sleeves up" and take on a range of responsibilities.About the company Barratt Galvin is an Australian based business providing recruitment solutions from a global perspective.
