Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior BIM/COBie Specialist to join our team, based in Doha, Qatar.
This role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of Client BIM and CAD strategies, standards and tools within the organization and its partners with the focus of the Client's Rail Long Distance Projects, to prepare the Requirements and Plans for an integrated BIM/COBIE Delivery of the projects, to incorporate them into the tender documents and to follow up the delivery.
We envisage success in this role to include; Understands the BIM/COBie scope of work for the subcontractors on the program projects. Drives standardization and quality of multiple projects BIM and COBie deliverables. Monitors BIM models and asset/COBie data for quality, data integrity and content throughout the project delivery process and at specific project delivery milestones. Ensures BIM models meet expectations stated in the project BIM Execution Plan and are consistent with Client BIM guidelines. Ensures COBie data is compliant to Client Asset Management Codification Standards and the Maintenance Management System requirements. Performs quality reviews of submitted models and COBie data as they relate to the contract documents. Sets up and Maintains the Common Data Environment with all projects BIM data to enable rapid coordination. Creates integrated/federated models for visual coordination. Produces high-quality visualizations/renders for meetings and presentations. Provides support to Senior BIM Specialist as required. Supports, assists, and trains project staff members in BIM. Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include minimum minimum 5 years' experience as a BIM Specialist/ Coordinator, minimum 3 years' experience of COBie and Maintenance Management Systems, minimum 10 years of industry experience, partnered with Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, Information Management, or related discipline.
Working experience in international teams. Previous railway experience desirable. Completed BIM software training (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue, Autodesk Vault preferred). Extensive hands-on experience with industry standard BIM technology including design, review, and collaboration tools. Extensive experience of extracting COBie data from BIM. Competency using Autodesk Suite of products, with particular focus on Revit, Navisworks and A360. Competency in setting up a Common Data Environment (CDE) for coordination of program projects and contractors. Knowledge of Bentley CAD/BIM products. Knowledge of 4D, 5D and 6D BIM processes is desirable. Familiarity with international standards such as BS1192, IFC and COBie. Familiarity with construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
