Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with extensive expertise in Python and Django to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our backend systems and APIs, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs using Python and Django. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Optimise application performance, ensuring high availability and responsiveness. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software remains cutting-edge. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development with Python and Django. Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation. Experience with database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
