We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor with expertise in UAE Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) compliance to oversee the audit processes of real estate projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide advisory support to clients in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of RERA regulations, financial auditing, and real estate industry practices.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
• Plan and execute audits for real estate projects and firms in compliance with RERA regulations.
• Review financial records, project accounts, escrow accounts, and operational practices for compliance and accuracy.
• Assess risk management frameworks and internal controls specific to real estate development and property management.
Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure adherence to RERA requirements, including accurate record-keeping and timely submissions to regulatory authorities.
• Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports highlighting discrepancies, compliance issues, and recommendations.
• Stay updated on RERA guidelines and amendments to provide expert advisory to clients and internal teams.
Financial Analysis
• Analyze project costings, payment schedules, and revenue recognition in alignment with RERA standards.
• Verify and audit escrow accounts to ensure proper allocation and utilization of funds for real estate projects.
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
• Act as a subject matter expert on RERA compliance for real estate clients.
• Provide guidance on improving internal processes, financial controls, and regulatory alignment.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing queries and providing actionable insights.
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with audit teams to deliver high-quality services within specified deadlines.
• Mentor and train junior auditors on RERA-specific requirements and industry practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education :
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CIA are preferred.
Experience :
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in auditing, with a focus on real estate and RERA compliance in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of RERA regulations, escrow account management, and real estate development processes.
Skills :
• Proficiency in financial auditing tools and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements :
• In-depth understanding of UAE real estate laws and regulatory requirements.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
