#### Role description
We are seeking an experienced beverage and sweet goods Flavour Application Technologist coming from the flavour or food & beverage industry to join our R&D team and work closely with the Head of the department to develop new food and beverage formulations (sweet goods, dairy, and beverage categories). We are seeking a knowledgeable, hard-working, and creative individual eager to grow with us and help build solid foundations for our new venture.
#### Your Mission
• With your expertise in flavour application in sweet goods and beverages, you will work in close partnership with our R&D department to:
• Finalize the set-up of the application lab by sourcing necessary equipment and raw materials (additives, ingredients, etc.).
• Full responsibility for the recipe software, ensuring the recipes are available for use and sampling, up-to-date, and compliant to local regulations (quarterly check).
• Review existing internal protocols and establish new ones, as needed, to define processes and quality standard for the application department.
• Act as the internal technical expert for applications and provide advice for key categories and markets.
• Formulate, match, and evaluate market products, customer targets, and prototype samples.
• Work closely with the technical project team and lead the application portion of customer projects by developing targeted concepts.
• Create innovative and exciting concepts for our clients.
• Keep ahead of market, regulatory, and customer trends to support with the development of the portfolio for the AMEA regions.
• Monitor and update products' quality and stability.
• Conduct internal sensory evaluation in close partnership with the flavour development team.
• Prepare and conduct internal workshops and trainings on applications within our segments, additives, ingredients, best practices, and more.
• Build and manage the Flavour Application team in the future.
#### Minimum Qualifications
• University degree in Food Science or Chemistry.
• Over 8 years of professional experience working in R&D and application for the flavour or food & beverage industry.
• Specialist in technical development for sweet goods, dairy, and beverages.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility for developments, and produce quality output.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of food technology, food science, and food processing.
• Must keep ahead of market trends (products, flavours, technology).
• Knowledge and understanding of local and regional regulations and preferences.
• Proficient O365 and computer literate.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and organization.
• Fluency in English is necessary, any other language is an asset.
